Video presentations or training events
We are able to record important presentations. These can be used at toolbox talks, training days or events such as mines rescue competitions and underground fire response training sessions or similar.
Manual Development
If required FTI can develop manuals that reflect the content of the video. The manual will be populated with photos extracted from the video to act as memory triggers allowing the trainee to recall the video contents as they work through the manual.
Video Development
Video
We use Sony high definition broadcast quality industry standard cameras for both surface and underground. The low light capability of the camera ensures that quality footage is obtained while shooting footage in the underground environment.
Narration
If required our team can produce a narration that is relevant and aligns with the site's documentation, standards, MOPs and SOPs. Having a mining background ourselves helps during discussions and minimises the required input of time for our clients. We understand the constraints that mine personnel work under and make every effort to ensure that our interface to the site is effective and efficient.
The development of the narration is critical to the success of any instructional video.
We work with narrators who understand the terminology of the mining operations and are suited to the project.
Assessment Development
If required FTI will develop assessment material in conjunction with an RTO that will comply with the National Mining Industry Training Advisory Board's Coal Training Package.
Video and Photographic records associated with:
- Longwall - Mini build
- Equipment overhauls
- Equipment layout within panels
- Assembly instructions
The ability to record photographs and videos of underground equipment while it is readily accessible and in a clean state, presents itself on rare occasions. Take this opportunity to gather resources that you will be able to use in the development of training materials that can be used in refresher sessions, inductions and technical training workshops.

FTI runs training courses on 'Reading Electrical Drawings' and 'Fault Finding'.
